I spent 20 years working in the financial services and compliance industries, before venturing out on my own into the big, scary world of being self-employed.
When you are bootstrapping a business, there is no money to hire people to help you, and virtual assistants didn’t exist. So I learned to do it all myself, and it is that “in the trenches” experience that I bring to Blue Poppy Solutions.
If it needed to be done, I figured out how to do it.
I’ve done it all, from building websites and writing blogs to bookkeeping, data entry, creating graphics, running social media…there isn’t much I haven’t done!
When I started to think about opening my own virtual assistant business, I decided that rather than doing a little bit of everything, I would focus on the things I really enjoyed doing…researching and writing blogs, creating email marketing campaigns, and bookkeeping.
